BOSTON (AP) - A now dissolved Massachusetts electrical company has been ordered by the state to pay more than $100,000 in restitution and penalties for intentionally failing to properly pay six non-union employees.
Attorney General Maura Healey said in a statement that the workers for Wilmington Wiring Corp. were not properly paid for repairing street lights in Worcester.
The attorney general’s office started investigating in January 2016 when an employee complained about not being paid the prevailing wage rate.
The state then issued three citations against the company and its owner.
The company was dissolved in May 2016.
