GAINESVILLE, Ga. (AP) - Two men have been arrested after seven boats were stolen at a Georgia lake.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports Hall County Sheriff’s Deputy Stephen Wilbanks said Tuesday that 46-year-old Donald Ray Ladd and 56-year-old Bruce Michael Vandervoet were charged with theft by taking in connection with the Lake Lanier thefts.

Wilbanks said Ladd was arrested at the scene July 23, and Vandervoet was arrested Aug. 6. Both men were caught on surveillance video of the Timberidge community boat dock. It’s unclear if the men have lawyers.

Wilbanks said investigators are working to determine if Ladd and Vandervoet were involved in all the thefts, and are also working to identify other possible suspects.

All seven boats have since been recovered.
