PORTLAND, Maine (AP) - Police are working to identify a man found dead by a passer-by in Portland, Maine.

Lt. Robert Martin tells the Portland Press Herald (https://bit.ly/2wF1ynV ) the man was found near a sidewalk in Portland’s West End around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday. Martin says the man may have been a jogger, as he was wearing shorts, a T-shirt and sneakers.

The medical examiner’s office is working to determine the cause of death, but Sgt. Charles Libby says it does not appear to be suspicious.

Libby says drug use did not appear to be a factor and there was no visible trauma.
