WASHINGTON (AP) - A firm connected to a data mining and analysis company says former national security adviser Michael Flynn considered taking an advisory role shortly before Election Day.
SCL Group tells The Associated Press that Flynn signed a “statement of work” about “possible advisory work.” But the company says Flynn didn’t take the position after President Donald Trump won the presidency.
The firm says that Flynn was never paid and didn’t perform any work for SCL. SCL is the parent company of Cambridge Analytica, which performed data work for the Trump campaign.
The statement to the AP comes just days after Flynn disclosed his interactions with the firm in an amended public financial disclosure filed with the White House.
