MILTON, Vt. (AP) - Vermont State Police say a delivery truck driver has died in crash off Interstate 89 in Milton.

Police say the vehicle driven by 51-year-old Armelindo Marchesini of South Burlington, Vermont, went off Interstate 89 south and hit a tree around 5:30 a.m. Monday.

Marchesini was found dead at the scene. Police say he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Police say the road has been recently graded for repavement. The cause of the crash is being investigated. Anyone who witnessed it is asked to contact Vermont State Police in Williston.

Traffic was reduced to one lane for about five hours while the crash was investigated and cleaned up Monday.
