FRANKLIN, N.H. (AP) - Police say a man found dead in Franklin had been killed six weeks before the body’s discovery and an arrest had been made.

The Concord Monitor reports (https://bit.ly/2wuTAhc ) that court documents indicate 24-year-old James Brock was shot in the head around June 21. A friend told the newspaper that she’d last seen him during Laconia’s Motorcycle Week, which ended June 18.

Police arrested 26-year-old Richard Tripaldi II on second-degree murder charges Thursday, a day after Brock’s body was found. Tripaldi waived arraignment and is being held without bail.

Authorities are mum on the circumstances surrounding the death of the Mississippi native and the nature of the crime scene. A probable cause and bail hearing is scheduled for Aug. 29 in Concord. It was not known if Tripaldi has a lawyer.
