BRISTOL, R.I. (AP) - U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is scheduled to visit Rhode Island in January to speak to students at the state’s only law school.
Roger Williams University announced Thursday that Ginsburg will take part in a “fireside chat” on Jan. 30 with Judge Bruce Selya, a senior judge on the 1st U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Boston.
Selya calls Ginsburg a historic figure and thought leader in the country. He says he hopes to give her the opportunity to discuss how she goes about her job, reflect on her life experience and “expound on matters that will be of interest to law students and law faculty.”
The school says the talk will only be open to students and faculty due to space limitations.
