A school in Texas has dropped the “Robert E. Lee” from its high school name out of concerns for “student safety,” administrators said.

Student safety — ha. That’s code for: We don’t want antifa- and Black Lives Matter-type thugs storming the campus.

But seriously, when is the cowering to far-left fury going to stop?

From Breitbart: “North East Independent School District trustees held a special meeting Tuesday night where they voted unanimously, 7-0, to change the name of Robert E. Lee High. … Although some North East ISD trustees said they did not agree with changing the high school’s name, they apparently caved to the ’student safety’ narrative amid no reported or disclosed threats.”

There were no warnings, no hints of protests, no impending anti-Robert E. Lee rallies — but as board president Shannon Grona put it, administrators voted to remove the name to “take the target off our backs.”

Message received; the thugs win, once again. And this time around, they didn’t even have to organize a rally.
