KENNER, La. (AP) - Authorities are searching for a man who robbed a bank in Louisiana and escaped with an unknown amount of cash.

News outlets report the man robbed a Chase Bank on Wednesday morning.

Kenner police Lt. Brian McGregor says the man walked into the bank and handed the teller a note announcing that he was robbing the bank.

The man was last seen fleeing the bank, and it’s not immediately clear if he had a weapon.

McGregor says police locked down the area for about an hour while they searched for the suspect. The investigation is ongoing and police are working with the FBI.
