PHOENIX (AP) - A minimum-security inmate at the Arizona prison in Perryville who walked away from a work crew in Phoenix is back in custody.
Arizona Department of Corrections officials say Christina Felix was apprehended in Coolidge around 1 p.m. Tuesday.
They say she now will be facing new criminal charges and additional prison time.
Felix was working Monday near Interstate 10 and 48th Street when she fled the supervised off-site work crew.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety, Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, and Phoenix and Tempe police assisted in the search for Felix, who is serving 2 ½-year prison sentence out of Pinal County for attempted theft means of transportation.
