OXFORD, Miss. (AP) - Police in northern Mississippi say 13 people were arrested in a two-day prostitution sting.

The Clarion-Ledger reports that Oxford police said one person was charged with prostitution and 12 others were charged with procuring prostitution.

The charges are misdemeanors. All the suspects were taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center, but the newspaper says their names and booking photos were not immediately released.

The sting operation was a joint effort by between federal, state and local law enforcement agencies.
