CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - The unemployment rate in Wyoming rose slightly in July to 4.0 percent, up from June’s 3.9 percent.

The state Department of Workforce Services reports the July jobless rate is significantly lower than the 5.4 percent recorded in July 2016.

From June to July, unemployment rates fell in 20 counties, rose slightly in two counties and remained unchanged in Hot Springs County.

Teton County had the lowest unemployment rate in July at 1.7 percent. It was followed by Crook at 2.8 percent and Lincoln and Goshen counties both at 3.0 percent. The highest unemployment rates were found in Fremont County at 5.3 percent, Natrona at 5.0 percent, Campbell at 4.7 percent and Sweetwater at 4.4 percent.
