OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Oklahoma City firefighters say a body has been recovered from the Oklahoma River near where a submerged car was found a day earlier.

Fire Capt. Julian Gaona says the body was found about 7:30 p.m. Saturday by fire department divers in the river in southwest Oklahoma City.

Gaona says the victim appears to be “related” to the car that was found in the river Friday morning, but the nature of the relationship was not released.

The victim’s name has not been released.

The car was found about 5 a.m. Friday, before rain moved into the Oklahoma City metro area.
