ASHBURN, Virginia — Tight end Jordan Reed and outside linebackers Junior Galette and Ryan Anderson will all dress for the Redskins preseason game Sunday against the Bengals, coach Jay Gruden said Friday.

Whether or not they play is a different matter. That will be decided by trainers after warmups. No one has been ruled out.

Galette, who missed the first two preseason games with a hamstring injury, has had a good week of practice. Reed practiced for the first time since minicamp on Wednesday, but says he feels no pain in his left big toe and wants to play. Anderson got a shoulder stinger in the first preseason game against Baltimore and didn’t play against Green Bay. He has been limited in practice and still doesn’t have full range of motion back.

“Reed looks very good, Junior had another good day today, Anderson didn’t do much,” Gruden said.

Gruden said that the starters will play about a half, maybe three quarters, against Cincinnati. No starters will play in the fourth and final preseason game next week in Tampa Bay. That includes Reed and Galette, even if they don’t play on Sunday.

That would make the regular-season opener on Sept. 10 the first game back for Reed and Galette, who hasn’t played a game since 2014.

What Gruden says will go, but defensive coordinator Greg Manusky said Thursday that the Redskins have “got to” see Galette get some live reps against another team.

“I want to see him against good personnel and see what he can do,” Manusky said. “So it is majorly important that he plays in these preseason games.”
