SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (AP) - A California man accused of assaulting three women while falsely claiming to be a police officer has been sentenced to 185 years in prison.

The Press-Enterprise reports (https://bit.ly/2xvL9lZ ) 53-year-old William Hernandez was sentenced on Wednesday. He was found guilty in July of four counts of forcible oral copulation, four counts of forcible rape, two counts of false imprisonment by violence and one count of sodomy by use of force.

The first attack was in February 2016 at a motel. Court records accuse Hernandez of telling the victim he was a police officer before threatened her with a gun and raping her. Detectives investigating the case found that two other women reported similar crimes.
