CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - Gov. Chris Sununu has directed flags on public buildings and grounds to be lowered to half-staff in honor of a county dispatcher and firefighter who died in the line of duty.
Steven Bomba, a Grafton County dispatcher, died a year ago in a crash on the way home from a police academy graduation. The Executive Council in May officially declared that his death was in the line of the duty. Sununu has directed that flags be lowered on Monday, the anniversary of the crash.
He says Bomba served the county with honor and distinction.
