HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - A Bridgeport man is facing sentencing for forcing a 17-year-old girl into prostitution at motels in southern Connecticut.
Brandon Williams is scheduled to be sentenced Monday in federal court in Hartford. He pleaded guilty to sex trafficking of a minor in March and faces 12 to 15 years in prison under sentencing guidelines.
Authorities say Williams bought the girl from another pimp for $500 and advertised her for sex on websites. Police say they found the girl with a tattoo of a dollar sign on her face and another of Williams’ nickname, “14K,” on her neck.
Officials say the prostitution occurred at motels in Bridgeport, Milford, Stratford and the Bronx in New York.
Williams’ lawyer says in court documents that Williams is remorseful and wants to better himself.
