PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (AP) - State police say a New York man has died from injuries suffered when he crashed his Corvette into two other vehicles on the Northway near the Canadian border last week.

Troopers say 41-year-old Brian Thomas, of Plattsburgh, died Tuesday morning at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington.

Police say Thomas’ 2000 Chevy Corvette went out of control Friday afternoon after entering Interstate 87’s northbound lanes at Exit 36 in the town of Plattsburgh.

His car went across the median into the southbound lanes, where it hit two other vehicles.

A Canadian man and his passenger were treated and released. A New York woman driving the other vehicle was treated for a broken leg.

The crash closed the southbound lanes for seven hours and the northbound lanes for more than three hours.
