InfoWars founder Alex Jones was on the streets of Seattle on Friday when a stranger splattered him with a thermos filled with hot coffee.
A InfoWars live-stream on media coverage of this week’s deadly terror attack in Barcelona, along with President Trump’s decision to disband two business advisory councils, was derailed when a passerby exclaimed, “You’re trash!”
“Come here, coward!” the angered radio host said. “Tell people, intellectually, who you are.”
“I’m your momma,” replied a man in a black shirt and glasses.
“This is what they turn the people into,” Mr. Jones shot back as he was being bumped in the chest. “This is it right here — a literal slave of the system.”
At that moment the man hurled his coffee on Mr. Jones, laughed and scuttled down the street.
Mr. Jones is regularly lambasted by critics for past analysis on the 9/11 terror attacks and the 2012 Sandy Hook massacre. NBC’s Megyn Kelly, for instance, blasted him prior to a June interview for pushing “outrageous conspiracy theories” and “considerable falsehoods” to his millions of fans.
“I’m proud of this [incident] because this is who they are,” the host said of Friday’s coffee attack. “That’s why they’re allied with jihadis — because they hate the West so much. […] They hate the prosperity, because if you look at that guy he was physically grotesque. He was physically soul-sucked. He was physically empty. […] They have absolutely no understanding of how brainwashed they are.”
Mr. Jones asserted that MSNBC and media figures like John Oliver of HBO’s “Last Week Tonight” have unfairly twisted his positions to turn him into an “evil” caricature.
