LONG BRANCH, N.J. (AP) - The remains of a missing kite surfer from New York have been recovered on a New Jersey beach.

Officials say the body of 44-year-old Sinisa Bjelajac, of Brooklyn, was located Wednesday near Seven Presidents Park in Long Branch.

NJ.com reports (https://bit.ly/2uuZFO2) he was reported missing after a boater saw him unconscious near Sandy Hook. But the boater could not pull him out of the water.

Authorities searched coastal waters from Sandy Hook to Coney Island, New York, before suspending the search on Aug. 5.
