Among his many outbursts which have garnered national attention, perhaps LaVar Ball’s most ridiculous claim is that he could have beaten Michael Jordan one-on-one in his prime.

“Back in my heyday, I would kill Michael Jordan one-on-one,’’ Ball told USA Today back in March. “I would just back (Jordan) in and lift him off the ground and call a foul every time he fouls me when I do a jump hook to the right or the left. He cannot stop me one-on-one.”

Jordan finally responded to Ball’s boasts on Monday, when he was asked about the comments while hosting the Michael Jordan Flight School basketball camp in Santa Barbara, California.

“I don’t think he could beat me if I was one-legged,” the six-time NBA champion told the crowd of kids and parents, who cheered His Airness’s trash talk.

While Jordan won five NBA MVP awards during his illustrious career, Ball never even reached the NBA, averaging just 2.2 points per game in his one season of Division I college basketball at Washington State.
