MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) - The state corrections department says a man on work release has returned after walking away from a transitional housing unit.
35-year-old Peter Anthony Damon was allowed to leave for work on Friday but didn’t return until Saturday.
He was eligible for parole in November and was originally sentenced for violating a protective order.
A walkway from a correctional facility is considered an escape, which is a felony punishable by up to 7 years in prison.
The department didn’t provide additional details Saturday afternoon.
