NEW ORLEANS (AP) - A New Orleans man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty in a federal heroin case.
The U.S. Attorney’s office in New Orleans says 44-year-old Larry Dupor was formally sentenced Thursday.
Dupor pleaded guilty last August to one count of conspiracy to distribute heroin.
Court records show the investigation developed after a 2015 traffic stop in southwest Louisiana, where police found four kilograms of heroin.
The driver of the car cooperated in an investigation that led to the discovery of a heroin operation at an eastern New Orleans car wash. That led to the arrest of 43-year-old LeJeune Harris, of New Orleans, and Dupor.
Prosecutors say Harris pleaded guilty in the case in March and was sentenced to 20 years.
