CANTON, Ga. (AP) - The Cherokee County Board of Commissioners has approved vehicle purchases totaling more than $800,000 for the sheriff’s office and other agencies.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports (https://on-ajc.com/2p4pFbK) commissioners recently approved the purchases.

Wade Ford and Shottenkirk Dodge will provide seven Ford Explorers and three Dodge Chargers for the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office for $416,879.

King Ford will supply a 2017 F-350 truck to haul the Mobile Adoption Shelter of the county Animal Shelter. The truck will be paid with a $36,451 lien payment from a recent puppy mill case.

Delivery Concepts East will provide two food trucks for the Senior Center for $105,764, while Rush Truck Centers will supply two new Tandem Dump Trucks for the Roads and Bridges Department at a total cost of $267,402.
