ISIS has a message for America and truly, it’s one that should show, like nothing else, we’re on the right path with this president.

“[America’s] being run by an idiot,” ISIS said, in a recording by terror group spokesman Abi al-Hassan al-Muhajer that was posted on the Telegraph and reported by the New York Post.

In counter-terrorism language, that means this: President Donald Trump is an effective anti-ISIS leader. How do we know? ISIS hates him.

“America, you have drowned and there is no savior,” the spokesman went on. “You have become prey for the soldiers of the caliphate in every part of the earth, you are bankrupt and the signs of your demise are evident to every eye.”

And then this, the grand finish:

“There is not more evidence than the fact that you are being run by an idiot who does not know what Syria or Iraq or Islam is,” the spokesman said.

This is all good.

Trump rode to the White House office on vows of cracking down on borders and on taking out ISIS. And his presidential appointees — “Mad Dog” Mattis, for one — show he means business.

So how’s a fearful ISIS responding?

With a desperate name-calling rant, a la a tantrum-throwing children upset with disciplining parents.

The remarks are significant firsts for ISIS — the first time the group’s released a public statement about the new White House since inauguration days.

“Die of spite, America, die of spite,” al-Muhajer went on. “A nation where both young and old are racing to die in the name of God will not be defeated.”

Die of spite?

More like die of laughter. America, under Trump, is hardly the same talk-all-the-time country of Barack Obama. And ISIS threats against the West just don’t carry the same sting they once did.
