Former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton is unlikely to return to the Clinton Foundation, according to a report in The Hill.
Mrs. Clinton was active in the family foundation after she left her post as secretary of state in the Obama administration in 2013.
Citing three anonymous confidants, The Hill said Mrs. Clinton, who left the foundation two years ago, is likely to shift her focus to other things while her husband, former President Bill Clinton, and daughter Chelsea Clinton guide the organization.
The outlet said Mrs. Clinton is authoring another book and will deliver some speeches, including a commencement address at Wellesley College.
During the campaign, Mrs. Clinton said the foundation did good work around the world.
Yet her links to the organization became toxic in the run-up to her stunning loss, as critics said the powerful Clintons opened the door to influence peddling and conflicts of interest among foreign donors while Mrs. Clinton served at the State Department.
