BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - The Burlington School District says the teachers’ union and members of the school district board are planning to meet next week with a mediator over the stalled contract negotiations.

The Burlington Free Press reports (https://bfpne.ws/2oXk9HR ) that the two sides have significant differences in proposed salaries and health care packages for the upcoming fiscal year, which starts in July.

The school board declared an impasse on March 17.

The two sides plan to meet on April 11.
