HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - Police in Hartford are investigating after a 24-year-old man was shot and killed in the city’s South End.

The man has been identified as Jimmy Gonzalez. Police say he was shot multiple times early Wednesday in the driveway of a home.

Deputy Chief Brian Foley said in statement that the city’s automated gunfire detection system recorded six shots.

Gonzalez was taken to a city hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been reported, and police are asking that anyone with information about the shooting contact them.

It was Hartford’s 10th homicide of 2017.
