There’s always talk of athletes making the leap in sports, but Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Chris Coghlan took it literally.
In the seventh inning, Coghlan scored on an incredible leap Tuesday, jumping over St. Louis catcher Yadier Molina in the Blue Jay’s 6-5 win over the Cardinals.
Coghlan was signaled home and was rounding third when Molina was in his path.
Instead of sliding, Coghlan decided to do this:
