Conservative rocker Ted Nugent says he’s “game” for a political debate with folk musician David Crosby at a time and place of the latter’s choosing.
A war of words between the “Motor City Madman” and Mr. Crosby began last week after a Wednesday meeting with President Donald Trump at the White House.
The Crosby, Stills & Nash singer said both Mr. Trump and Mr. Nugent are “a pair of a-holes,” which prompted commentary from Mr. Nugent alluding to Mr. Crosby’s past drug use.
“David Crosby, he’s kind of a lost soul, and he’s done so much substance abuse throughout his life that his logic meter is gone,” Mr. Nugent told a local radio station last Friday. “His reasoning and his depth of understanding is pretty much gone, so it doesn’t surprise me, I feel quite sad for the guy.”
Mr. Nugent threw down a debate gauntlet Monday in response to Mr. Crosby’s claim that he is a “brainless twit.”
“One toke over the line Davey. Doesn’t believe in Americans carrying guns but he does! Logic & decency gone with the wind,” Mr. Nugent wrote on his Facebook page.

“[A debate] would be so cruel,” the conservative told his fans. “I’m game anytime, anywhere.”
Mr. Crosby also wrote on his official website that Mr. Trump was a “scary” idiot who “can’t control his mouth or mind,” Fox News reported Monday.
