Sen. Lindsey Graham said Tuesday he’s “impressed” with President Trump’s handling of North Korea.

“I had dinner with president last night,” said Mr. Graham on Fox News. “I’m really impressed with his commander in chief skills here.”

The South Carolina Republican said the two were also joined by Sen. John McCain, Arizona Republican, and Joseph Dunford, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Mr. Graham said he was encouraged by Mr. Trump’s plans to rebuild the military and his partnership with China on combating the nuclear threat from North Korea.

“China has done more in the last two weeks to stop North Korea … than they’ve done in the last 25 years,” he said.

Both Mr. Graham and Mr. McCain have been vocal critics of Mr. Trump, but have come to his side on military and foreign policy issues.
