With President Trump nearing the 100-day mark of his presidency, Democrats launched a campaign Monday aiming to drive home the message that the Republican has failed to deliver on a number of promises he made to the “forgotten man and woman” on the campaign trail last year.

Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Democratic National Committee Chair Tom Perez told reporters in a conference call that Mr. Trump has abandoned working-class families in favor of helping the rich and the special-interest groups in Washington that he had vowed to take on.

“Democrats are going to hold the president accountable for the promises he made to working-class voters,” said Mr. Schumer, New York Democrat.

Democrats said Mr. Trump has backed off his promise to label China a currency manipulator, to replace Obamacare with a health care system that provides health care coverage to everybody and to improve the nation’s roads and bridges.

“President Trump’s first 100 days have been disastrous parade of broken promise to working people,” said Mrs. Pelosi, California Democrat.
