A new ad uses House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi to hit the Democratic candidate in Montana’s special election next month.

The ad from the Congressional Leadership Fund, a group backed by House Republicans, accuses Democrat Rob Quist of being out of touch with Montana voters, and says he’s more aligned with Ms. Pelosi’s interests. It also hits Mr. Quist on his past financial issues, which include missing mortgage payments and medical bill debt.

Mr. Quist is a singer and songwriter and was appointed to the Montana Arts Council by Democratic Gov. Brian Schweitzer. He will face Republican businessman Greg Gianforte in the special election.

This is the second ad for the CLF to air ahead of Montana’s special election on May 25 to fill the state’s lone House seat vacated by Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke.
