DRAPER CITY, Utah (AP) - A neighborhood group has filed a lawsuit asking a judge to decide whether Draper City or their special tax district is responsible for funding road construction in the foothills community.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/2pWo9ci ) Thursday the Traverse Ridge Special Service District say they don’t own the roads- the city does.

The city spokeswoman, however, says financial responsibility for needed work lies with the district.

Residents are hoping the dispute is solved soon because they say Deer Ridge Drive had been built poorly and has never been maintained.

The district wanted to work out an agreement with the mayor, but attempts were unsuccessful.
