A new book about Hillary Clinton’s disastrous presidential run hits the book shelves Tuesday, and it’s as suspected: Infighting and dysfunction marked the campaign every step of the way — even before she made it to the stage of one-on-one face-offs with Donald Trump.
It’s a story of doom and gloom. But for Hillary haters, it’s very likely only an underscore of what’s long been suspected — that everything the lady touches turns sour.
“Instead of a smooth and easy road to the White House, the Clinton campaign found itself plagued form the get-go by infighting, pessimism and dysfunction,” the Washington Examiner wrote, referring to the dozens of sources that went into the story-telling of “Shattered: Inside Hillary Clinton’s Doomed Campaign,” by authors Jonathan Allen and Arnie Parnes.
And that was just the nomination process.
“When she faced off against then-GOP nominee Donald Trump, things actually got worse,” the news outlet said.
Mix-ups, suspicion and anger issues plagued.
And then there was this — an eye-opener of a statement.
“Early in the morning on Nov. 9. Clinton apologized to Obama for losing the election to Trump. ’I’m sorry,’ she said,” the Examiner reported.
Who’d have thought those two words, uttered as a sentence, would ever be heard from Clinton’s mouth?
