BUTTE, Mont. (AP) - Authorities are investigating a non-fatal shooting in a small town in southwestern Montana.

Jefferson County Undersheriff Mike Johnson tells The Montana Standard (bit.ly/2opOUVh) that Saturday night’s shooting in Whitehall is definitely criminal, but officers do not have any suspects or a motive.

Johnson says the injuries suffered by a 24-year-old Whitehall man were not life-threatening. The man was hospitalized but Johnson did not know his condition. His name has not been released.

Johnson says the shooting does not appear to be accidental or self-inflicted. The investigation continues.
