DETROIT (AP) - Two men have been arrested in connection with a fight in downtown Detroit’s Greektown restaurant and entertainment district that left another man hospitalized.
Police Chief James Craig tells reporters Tuesday that the suspects are from Inkster, a community southwest of Detroit.
The early Sunday morning fight was recorded on cellphone video and posted online. Craig says the arrested men are seen kicking the victim as he lay on the pavement.
Police used surveillance video of license plate numbers to identify the men. Six other Inkster residents still were being sought Tuesday afternoon.
Craig says there may have been a verbal dispute leading up to the fight.
The victim’s name was not released. Craig says his injuries are serious and he is recovering in a hospital.
