President Trump’s son said Monday that his father has shown “tremendous backbone” in dealing with the continuing crises in North Korea and Syria.

“You pray for peace. [But] at the same time my father has tremendous backbone,” Eric Trump said on “Fox & Friends.”

“He will protect America. Make no mistake about it. He will protect our country.”

Mr. Trump also addressed the controversy surrounding infighting with the White House personnel, including his sister Ivanka Trump and brother-in-law Jared Kushner.

“It’s one of those things sometimes no good deed goes unpunished,” Mr. Trump said. “They wanted to help. They wanted to do a great thing. They’re going to be amazing advisers to my father.”
