A new report shows threats from the Islamic State terrorist group are accelerating, said Rep. Michael McCaul, Texas Republican.
“I think [the Islamic State] has a new era of terror,” Mr. McCaul, chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, said Tuesday on Fox News’s “America’s Newsroom.”
Mr. McCaul said the group, also known as ISIS or ISIL, is changing how they’re recruiting members and attacking their targets, making such events harder to prevent.
“They’re projecting [a] message to attack by any means necessary to kill at home in your backyard,” Mr. McCaul said. “You don’t know where it’s going to pop up next.”
