PRESCOTT, Ariz. (AP) - Goodwill Industries has moved to expand its operations in northern Arizona.

The Daily Courier reports (https://bit.ly/2okdWGY) that the nonprofit approved a merger between its central and northern Arizona branches on March 31 to form Goodwill of Central & Northern Arizona.

The new organization will include 82 stores, three clearance centers, 22 career centers and employ over 3,500 employees.

The expansion will take place in the Phoenix metro area, Prescott, Yuma, Flagstaff, Sedona, Cottonwood, Kingman, Lake Havasu and Bullhead City.

Goodwill will be temporarily closing its northern Arizona stores one at a time starting next week to launch a grand re-opening for each store.

Goodwill of Central & Northern Arizona President and CEO Tim O’Neal says the merger will allow the nonprofit to provide more resources and better service to customers.
