MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - Guard Markel Crawford is the latest player to announce that he’s transferring from Memphis.

Crawford told Memphis radio station WMFS-92.9 FM on Monday that he’s leaving Memphis. Crawford said that he was on track to earn his degree in May and would be a graduate transfer, making him eligible to play for his new school this year.

Crawford, a 6-foot-5 guard from Memphis, averaged 12.8 points and 4.4 rebounds this season.

His announcement comes less than a week after Memphis announced that Dedric Lawson and K.J. Lawson also were leaving the team . Dedric Lawson, Crawford and K.J. Lawson were the three top scorers for Memphis this season as the Tigers went 19-13 in the first season of Tubby Smith’s coaching tenure.
