Caitlyn Jenner underwent sex reassignment surgery in January, completing her transition surgery from male to female, the former Olympian reportedly revealed in her upcoming memoir.

In her memoir “The Secrets of My Life,” set to release April 25, Ms. Jenner said her “Final Surgery” in January was a “complex decision,” but ultimately the right one, according to excerpts published by Radar.

“The surgery was a success, and I feel not only wonderful but liberated,” the 67-year-old reportedly wrote.

She said she’s writing about it now in a bid to end the public’s obsession with her genitals.

“I am telling you because I believe in candor,” she reportedly wrote. “So all of you can stop staring. You want to know, so now you know. Which is why this is the first time, and the last time, I will ever speak of it.”

Ms. Jenner, who became an Olympic gold medal-winning decathlete in 1976 as Bruce, said she underwent the final surgery in order to have “all the right parts,” Radar reported.

In March 2015, one month before she famously announced to Diane Sawyer that she identified as a transgender woman, Ms. Jenner underwent breast augmentation and facial feminization surgery, she reportedly wrote.

“I am going to live authentically for the first time in my life,” she recalled thinking in the hours after the surgeries, Radar reported. “I am going to have an enthusiasm for life that I have not had in 39 years since the Olympics, almost two-thirds of my life.”

Besides, a penis is “just a penis,” Ms. Jenner said.

“It has no special gifts or use for me other [than] what I have said before, the ability to take a whiz in the woods,” she reportedly wrote. “I just want to have all the right parts. I am also tired of tucking the damn thing in all the time.”
