ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - Alabama, Memphis and Pittsburgh will join Navy in the Veterans Classic to open next season.

The annual event, which celebrates Veterans Day, is Friday, Nov. 10, at the U.S. Naval Academy. Alabama plays Memphis, followed by Pittsburgh vs. Navy.

The visiting players will also get a look at life at the Naval Academy, including a tour of the ’Yard,’ watching noon meal formation and eating lunch with the Brigade at King Hall.

CBS Sports Network will air a 30-minute show on the visits.

Pittsburgh coach Kevin Stallings says the experience of observing “the dedication and drive of the men and women in the United States Naval Academy will have a lasting impact on our young team.”

Participants the past three seasons included North Carolina, Michigan State, Florida and Ohio State.
