Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager said Thursday that Donald Trump has no plan to defeat the Islamic State terrorist group and that Mr. Trump “lashed out” at the United States’ generals when pressed for details at a forumWednesday evening.

“Donald Trump simply didn’t come prepared, and he’s not going to be prepared to serve as president, and that was abundantly clear last night,” Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook said on ABC’s “Good Morning America.”

At the forum in New York hosted by NBC and Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA), Mr. Trump said the body language of officials in intelligence briefings he’s received indicated the officials weren’t happy.

“First of all, it’s concerning that Donald Trump was potentially sharing information that he learned in his briefing,” Mr. Mook said.

“But what was really scary…was he keeps talking about this secret plan that he has to defeat ISIS. What was clear last night was there’s really no plan at all,” he said.

“And that’s what’s scary,” Mr. Mook said. “First of all, he doesn’t seem to have the judgment or temperament to make good decisions as commander-in-chief, but he doesn’t have plans and he certainly didn’t have command of the issues or the questions that he was being asked.”

“Hillary Clinton has actually released a plan, a detailed plan, on how to defeat ISIS,” he said. “Donald Trump has said he has one. He’s keeping it secret.”

“But again last night, it was clear there just isn’t a plan and he’s trying to hide from that, and he lashed out at our nation’s generals when he was asked for details,” Mr. Mook said. “There’s no plan there, and Donald Trump has shown us he is unfit to serve.”

Mr. Trump said at the forum that he does have his own plan to defeat the terrorist group, but that he’d listen to advice from generals if elected.

“The generals under Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton have not been successful…the generals have been reduced to rubble,” Mr. Trump said. “It’s embarrassing for our country.”
