STURBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) - Police have captured an employee of a Massachusetts Wal-Mart they say set three fires inside the store, forcing the disposal of the store’s food.

Sturbridge police announced Thursday that Maiya Cruz was caught in Auburn on Wednesday night.

Police say they identified the Southbridge woman through security video.

Firefighters who responded to the Sturbridge store on Tuesday for a report of a fire in the jewelry section determined that three fires had been set. They were all extinguished by employees and customers. No one was hurt.

Sturbridge’s health agent tells The Telegram & Gazette that because the food was exposed to smoke and chemicals from fire extinguishers, it cannot be sold.

Cruz is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday. It could not be determined if she has a lawyer.
