WARWICK, R.I. (AP) - Police are investigating after a man with a note saying he had a gun robbed a Bank of America branch in Warwick.

Lt. Thomas Snow says the man entered the bank on West Shore Road at about 3 p.m. Wednesday and handed the note to a teller. He fled the scene on foot after making off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police say the suspect is a white man who is 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt that said “Boston Strong” during the robbery along with jeans, sneakers and black sunglasses.

Anyone with information regarding the robbery is urged to contact Warwick police.
