MADISON, Wis. (AP) - A new super PAC is launching a $365,000 television ad campaign against Democrat Russ Feingold calling him a “radical politician” for supporting late-term abortion rights.

The Reform Wisconsin Fund was created Sept. 19. Spokesman Chris Martin says it is only spending money on the Senate race where Feingold faces Republican incumbent Sen. Ron Johnson.

In the new super PAC ad, an image of a baby is shown as a narrator describes how what opponents refer to as a “partial-birth abortion” is performed. The narrator says Feingold voted eight times to allow such abortions. It ends by calling Feingold a “radical politician.”

Feingold’s campaign countered that Johnson can’t defend his record on the economy or opposition to women’s reproductive rights so he’s hiding behind super PACs.
