NBA All Star and New Orleans Pelican Anthony Davis was listed as 6-foot-10 just last year, but when he arrived in camp earlier this week, he found out he is still growing, and he’s not particularly happy about it.

Davis now measures at 6-foot-11, a height that’s just not going to work.

“They measured us like a week and a half ago and they said I was 6-11, which I don’t want to be,” Davis said on the “Black And Blue Report” podcast. “I think 6-10’s like the perfect height for me. It just doesn’t sound right. 6-10 sounds perfect to me. 6-11, 7 feet, I don’t like it. I’m technically 6-11, but I’m 6-10. I will always tell everybody 6-10. I don’t care if I’m 7-3. I’m 6-10.”

Davis is 23, so he has to getting close to the time he stops growing, but his amount of growth in a short period of time is astounding.

When Davis was a junior in high school and began the entire recruiting process, schools were looking at a 6-foot-3 Davis, who played as a guard. But as the year wore on and Davis entered college at the University of Kentucky, Wildcats head coach John Calipari all of a sudden had a 6-foot-10 forward at his disposal. Davis grew seven inches and completely altered his skill set in the span of one year.
