MILFORD, Del. (AP) - The youngest of former Delaware Gov. Ruth Ann Minner’s three sons has died after a crash in a tow truck.

Delaware State Police said the accident happened on Friday.

Police say Gary Ingram was driving a tow truck southbound on Bay Road near Milford, Delaware. Police say the truck gradually travelled off the road for an unknown reason and hit a sign before striking a group of trees.

The 55-year-old was pronounced dead at the Milford Memorial Hospital. Police say neither alcohol nor drugs appear to be a factor.

The News Journal reports that Ingram was the youngest of Minner’s three sons. The former governor told the newspaper that he lived next to her on the family’s farm in Milford with his wife and children.
