The New England Patriots, and really the NFL as a whole, have been waiting for tight end Rob Gronkowski to make his 2016 season debut, and now, it may come to fruition.
According to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Gronkowski, who has been out with a hamstring injury, is a game-time decision against the Houston Texans.

The potential timing of Gronkowski’s return couldn’t have come at a better time. New England may be down to their third string quarterback in Jacoby Brissett, as second string quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo may be out with a shoulder injury and Tom Brady will have to sit out for his third game due to his four-game suspension for the infamous “deflategate” incident.
Gronkowski recorded 72 receptions for 1,176 and 11 touchdowns in the 2015 season.
